In early November, members of Barrie Central Arts Council decided that they wanted to revive the Barrie Central tradition of Coffee House. The date was then set for Wednesday, December 4th.
The rest of the month was filled with extensive planning and organization as members of the Arts Council went out into the community and sought donations of any kind, so there could be door prizes for the audience members. Luckily, there was a terrific response, including donations from Casa Cappuccino, Grace,Too Studio, and several other local businesses.
Coffee House was a huge success! More than 100 people were in the audience: students, teachers, families of the performers, and many more members of the Barrie Central community. The drum line got things off to an awesome start. Madison Parniak's slam poetry performance was one of the many highlights of the night. See the pictures below to check out some of the awesome talent that was on display at the Coffee House.
Thanks very much to everyone who attended and supported the Barrie Central Arts Council!
