On Friday, November 8, the junior boys played a game here at Central. The boys played an awesome game, winning in three straight sets against Jean Vanier. Minutes before the game began, a fire alarm sounded. At first we all thought it was just the buzzer to begin the game. After realizing that it was actually a fire alarm, all the spectators and players exited the gym towards the back of the school. No one really knew what was going on. But after 10 minutes of standing around in the cold, the alarm stopped and we re-entered the school. After everyone got settled back inside, the game could begin. The boys played remarkably and came out as winners.
Then on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, the Barrie Central junior boys' volleyball team finished off their season in style: by beating Parry Sound in three straight sets, to win the GBSSA title. It's the boys' second year in a row of winning the GB championship.
